NHS Right to Choose gives eligible patients in England the option to choose an approved provider for their adult ADHD assessment and treatment. This can be helpful if you are waiting for an NHS ADHD assessment locally, or if you would like your GP to refer you through a recognised NHS pathway.
Harrow Health provides adult ADHD assessment and treatment under the NHS Right to Choose pathway. This means your GP can refer you to Harrow Health for assessment, diagnosis and treatment where clinically appropriate.
The referral must come from your GP. Once your NHS ADHD referral has been received and accepted, Harrow Health will guide you through the next steps, including onboarding, pre-assessment information and appointment arrangements.

To access Harrow Health through NHS Right to Choose, your ADHD referral must come from your GP. Patients cannot self-refer directly to the service.
You can start by downloading the Right to Choose letter and taking it to your GP practice. The letter explains that you would like to be referred to Harrow Health for adult ADHD assessment and treatment through the NHS.
Your GP will review your request and, if appropriate, submit the NHS ADHD referral to Harrow Health. Once the referral has been received, our team will contact you with the next steps.
Adult ADHD assessment through NHS Right to Choose is available to eligible patients in England who are registered with a GP. It may be suitable if you are seeking assessment for possible ADHD symptoms and would like to be referred through the NHS pathway.
This route may be particularly useful if you are already waiting for an NHS adult ADHD assessment, are concerned about long local waiting times, or want to discuss referral options with your GP.
Harrow Health supports adults through a structured ADHD assessment pathway, including diagnosis and treatment where clinically appropriate. Your GP remains an important part of the process and will need to make the referral before your assessment can be arranged.
After your ADHD referral is received from your GP, Harrow Health will contact you to explain the next steps. You may be asked to complete onboarding information and pre-assessment forms before your diagnostic appointment is arranged.
Your adult ADHD assessment will review your symptoms, history and how these difficulties affect your daily life. This helps the clinician understand whether your experiences are consistent with ADHD and whether a diagnosis is appropriate.
If ADHD is diagnosed, your clinician will discuss suitable treatment options. Where medication is clinically appropriate, Harrow Health can support the next stage of care, including titration and communication with your GP.
If you receive an ADHD diagnosis and treatment is recommended, Harrow Health can support you through the medication titration process. This involves finding the most suitable medication and dose for your individual needs, under clinical supervision.
During this stage, your progress, side effects and response to medication will be reviewed carefully. The aim is to provide safe, structured ADHD treatment and ensure that your care is properly managed.
Once your medication is stable, your care may be transferred back to your GP under a shared care agreement, where appropriate. Harrow Health will provide the relevant clinical information to support this process and help make ongoing NHS ADHD treatment as clear and straightforward as possible.
